The 2017 National Scientific & Technological Award Conference was held at the Great Hall of the People on the morning of January 8, 2018. Party and state leaders attended the conference, and presented awards to the winners of the National Top Scientific & Technological Award, the National Natural Science Award, the National Technical Invention Award, the National Scientific & Technological Progress Award, and the International Scientific & Technological Cooperation Award. The Livzon Pharmaceutical Group Inc. achieved brilliant results in the TCM field, with four research projects winning National Scientific & Technological Progress Awards! “Research and Application of Triterpene and Saponin Ingredients of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Natural Drugs,” a research project implemented by the team led by Professor Ye Wencai from Jinan University (JNU), won the Second Prize of National Scientific & Technological Progress Award. Key researchers of this project were from JNU, China Pharmaceutical University, the Livzon Group Limin Pharmaceutical Factory, and GKH Pharmaceutical Ltd.

The Livzon Group Limin Pharmaceutical Factory began research on the separation of active ingredients and structural identification of Shenqi Fuzheng Injection in cooperation with the research team of Professor Ye in December 2010. The team conducted systematic research on the chemical ingredients of Shenqi Fuzheng Injection, separated and identified 46 compounds, optimized the fingerprint chromatogram of Shenqi Fuzheng Injection established by the factory, and identified the 15 chromatographic peaks in the chromatogram through reference substances. The factory selected medicinal substances based on the project's research findings, and conducted scientific quality control of bulk drug and injection production. As a key method of internal quality control for Shenqi Fuzheng Injection, the research findings have achieved significant social and economic benefits.
